Alma Container is a proud partner of the Paper and Packaging Board’s Box to Nature Program. The program centers around a graphic which puts an instructional message front and center to showcase the important reminder to recycle in three easy steps: empty, flatten and recycle.
Why Corrugated Cardboard?
Corrugated cardboard boxes are made from two fiberboard components: the linerboard and the medium. The medium, or wavy fiberboard, is adhered between two flat linerboards, creating what’s called a “single wall” cardboard and providing a stronger material than fiberboard alone. Double and triple wall corrugated cardboard is made by including more sheets of medium (two and three, respectively) between alternating linerboards for an even stronger piece of cardboard. Because of these multiple options, corrugated cardboard allows you to vary the strength and weight of cardboard boxes made from it. A single wall cardboard box will be lighter than a tri-wall box, but the tri-wall box will be stronger.
